Thanksgiving.
Is most certainatly my very favorite holiday. The weather in NY is usually pretty perfect, even though its a little on the cold side. The leaves have all changed colors and when it rains they get soaking wet for days and get stuck to everything. I love the feeling of having to windshield wipe off wet stuck leaves. It just makes me smile. And the smell of a house when its Thanksgiving is just perfect. The smell of turkey and pies and cookies. Every where you turn is just food. The main course is everything you love. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, sweet potatos, some sort of string bean dish, corn, biscuts, stuffed mushrooms (italian thing), harvard beets, aspargus… and gravy of course. The atmosphere is always so relaxing and enjoyable. And we usually play a board game after dinner, which I am a huge fan of. 2 years ago the day after Thanksgiving I bought Diesel. Best choice I ever made. Something about Thanksgiving just pulls at the strings of my heart. Its not a holiday that involves some made up story, or costumes or candy. Its just about enjoying the people you care about and the company they provide.
&& the other perk is there are always awesome movies released on thanksgiving… DUH?!
